My dog suddenly has a lump on the lip for a few days he became greater (slightly smaller than the size of a peanut M & M). He now has a red spot on it, maybe, I do not know where it opened. The knot is solid. What is possible?

I suggest you take your dog to the vet ASAP. It could be just a little pain, but some breeds are prone to cancer of the oral cavity and it often seems that the song that you have described. If the cancer is caught early, it makes a big difference and can be removed if an operation is still small.
